The vehicle is founded.
New York City
Founded in New York City by Roc Gardner — a continuation of Sidewalk 7 Ltd., the label, management company and event agency Roc built in London in 2004 while touring Europe with his band Chiller. The Times had called him "the next Richard Branson." Escape Productions becomes the vehicle for everything that follows.

Pioneertown
The move to the high desert.
140 acres above Joshua Tree
Roc bought a ranch in Pioneertown after recording at Dave Catching's Rancho de la Luna in Joshua Tree. ESCAPE Studios takes form on the land — two recording studios, a residence, a lodge, a cottage, three Airstreams, the Triangle. The festivals taught the brand what it stood for. The Studios made it a place.
